Celebrating International Development Week 




On February 9, the City of Ottawa's Planning, Infrastructure and Economic Development Department will be hosting a special event that marks International Development Week – an annual celebration of Canada’s contribution to reducing poverty and raising awareness about Canadian efforts in assisting in global development.
 

The event is partnered effort by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) and Global Affairs Canada. It will highlight efforts to building more inclusive communities in Canada and partnering nations – keeping with this year’s theme,” Leave no one behind: Canada contributes to global goals.”  

Attend this event on February 9th from 1:30 - 4:30pm at City Hall - Council Chambers register today.

Building Blocks for Mental Health at Work Series

Ottawa Public Health has created a series of workshops and videos (www.haveTHATtalk.ca ) to help workplaces implement the National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace. Each workshop will take a closer look at two of the 13 factors that are the building blocks for a mentally healthy and safe workplace. Participants can attend all the workshops or only those of interest.
