Building Blocks for Mental Health at Work Series

Factors: Psychological & Social Support and Balance

Ottawa Public Health has created a series of workshops and videos (www.haveTHATtalk.ca) to help workplaces implement the National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace. Each workshop will take a closer look at two of the 13 factors that are the building blocks for a mentally healthy and safe workplace.  Participants can attend all the workshops or only those of interest. 

For: Staff who promote health in the workplace (HR, EAP, OHN, Manager, Supervisor, Health and Safety staff & committee members, Wellness Committee members, etc.)

  • Learn about evidence based resources to help improve the mental health of your workplace
  • Learn about resources specific to Psychological & Social Support and Balance
  • Share practical tips, strategies and resources to address Psychological & Social Support and Balance
  • Develop an action plan
  • A firm believer in the power of storytelling to bring about culture change, Jean-Fran├žois regularly shares his lived experience of mental health recovery as a bilingual keynote speaker and panelist

Presented by: Ottawa Public Health with guest speaker Jean-Fran├žois Claude, M.S.M., Sector Champion, Workplace Well-being and Mental Health, Communications and Portfolio Sector, Natural Resources Canada and Co-Founder, Federal Speakers’ Bureau on Mental Health
