ALERT: Rainfall Warning for Friday

Rain, heavy at times continues. 

The ground, already near saturation, has little ability to absorb further rainfall. 

Total rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm are expected. 

The rain is forecast to mix with or change to snow tonight and come to an end late Friday.

Many areas have received about 25 mm on Thursday and another 15 to 25 mm is possible tonight. 

Rainfall warnings are issued for amounts of 25 mm or more in 24 hours or less when the ground is saturated or frozen. 

For the latest information concerning the potential for spring flooding in your area, please consult the website of your local Conservation Authority or the website of the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. ### Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
