Public Information Session Monday, February 27 6:30 pm

          Public Information Session about Overdoses
                on February 27 beginning at 6:30 pm                      in Hall A of the Kanata Recreation Complex, 
                                100 Charlie Rogers Place 
                            in Kanata's Walter Baker Park

Chair of the Police Services Board, Councillor  El-Chantiry; Chair of the Board of Health, Councillor Qadri; Councilor Wilkinson, Councillor Moffatt; and Councillor Hubley will host a public information session on the recent surge in overdoses amongst our young people.

Experts from Ottawa Public Health, Ottawa Police Services, Ottawa Paramedic Services, Youth Services Bureau, Rideauwood Addiction and Family Services, United Way, Proud to be Me, Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre, Terrace Youth Wellness Centre, and others will be in attendance.

We encourage all residents to attend as education is the first step toward prevention.   There is no denying that these drugs are present within our communities and every child has the potential to be exposed to them. It will an effort from each of us to protect our communities.
