Public skating season kicks off in October
Just like walking, running or swimming,
ice skating offers a great workout while
being easy on the joints! Use our
convenient search tool to find locations
and times in your area for public and
family skates. Children aged 10 and
under, as well as beginner skaters of all
ages, are required to wear a Canadian
Standards Association (CSA) approved
helmet while attending City of Ottawa
indoor public skate sessions.
We also offer skating programs, whether
you are looking to learn to skate, or
develop your skills such as figure
skating, speed skating or power
All participants must wear
CSA approved hockey helmets.
