KHCA Minutes June 1st 2015

1.         Draft Minutes:  
Draft minutes of April 13, 2015 and May 4, 2015 meetings 
were approved, as circulated.

 2.        President’s Update
             KHCA received no registrations for the June 6, 2015 yard sales.
             Wheelchair access to streetlight posts with pedestrian
 streetlight buttons is problematic in some areas due to gaps between 
the side walk paths and the posts.  The President has sent an email 
to the City in this regard.

Adjustment of Planning Consultation:   City has been 
experimenting with a pre-consultation process between City staff 
and the stakeholders in ward 18 for a year.  Results should become 
available soon.

Ditches in Vanstone-Belleview area with all day rain 
May 25th and storms May 30th;  
No one has noticed any negative effects of these ditches due 
to heavy rain on these 2 days.

Session for an update on the West Transitway Extension 
(Bayshore Station to Moodie Drive) project to learn about 
proposed revisio
At the Public Information Session, residents will be able to 
review the proposed revisions to the implementation strategy, 
background reports and the proposed design plans, and ask 
. Representatives from the City, the consulting team and the 
Ward Councillor will be available to discuss the project with you. 
June 15th : Winter Overnight Parking Restrictions – Public 
Engagement Session, 6:30-8:00 pm at the Glen Cairn Community 
Centre (Upper Hall), 186 Morrena Road 
The purpose of this open house is to engage the public on 
\proposed changes to the Winter Overnight Parking provisions 
of the Traffic and Parking By-law.  The session will include a 
presentation by City staff and a question period. Residents are 
invited to provide comments on how parking bans are 
communicated to the public, enforcement of the by-law, on- \
and off-street parking options during a winter parking ban, and 
criteria for implementing an overnight parking ban.

Give OCTranspo Feedback on Para Transpo

Ottawa – OC Transpo is currently reviewing 
its policies for both Para Transpo customer 
eligibility and booking processes.

Public consultations will take place on 
September 17, 22, 30 and October 6 at  
Ottawa City Hall, 
110 Laurier Avenue  West. 
There are a total of 16 sessions, 
four per day, with a registration limit 
of 20 people per session. Para 
Transpo customers, caregivers, 
community agencies, hospital 
representatives, long-term care 
facilities and the general public 
are invited to register.
