Get Water Wise – Save Lives

As temperatures rise, we look forward to our favourite summer activity, swimming.
Whether it's in the pool, at the beach or cottage, or getting wet at the local wading
pool, we think about the fun, but not always the safety. From June to September,
at least one person will drown every two weeks within Canada. The Ottawa Drowning
Prevention Coalition is committed to raising public awareness of water safety with
drowning prevention tips for parents and caregivers. Remember, adult supervision
is essential no matter how well your child swims. Now is a good time to learn to
swim. We have swimming lessons for all ages.
