KHCA September 9 General Meeting Minutes

Minutes of June 3rd meeting were adopted as circulated.
President’s Update: WOCRC received 17 responses to their survey; stormwater management of the lower Watts Creek will not adversely affect us;  the sidewalk on east of Young’s Pond Park repaired when funds are available; pathway in Pickford Park will not be built now; since company agreed to deal with any noise problem, to add bollards to the loading dock railing and to direct outside lighting for security and  that retention pond will not be a mosquito’s nest supported  Franklin Empire (Site Control Plan File No.D07-12-13-007).

 Treasurer’s Update: operating fund balance $329.34
Arrangements are being made for Fall Parks Clean-up of Watts Creek, Cattail Creek, Beaufort, Hewitt Park North and Escarpment-Chimo.    Clean-up of other parks has been organized.
Draft Amendments to the Official Plan submission discussion centred on the complications involved in changes needed to have the former City of Kanata Town Centre population requirements generate development compatible with adjacent single family homes.
Because the NCC might allow licensed marijuana facility close to Katimavik Hazeldean, KHCA will request the NCC not to allow licensed marijuana production at least two kilometres from all non-agricultural land uses.
