Spring Cleaning Katimavik-Hazeldean Parks

Please join us on April 28 for the Community clean-up of Katimavik-Hazeldean Parks.  Our rain date will be May 5th.

This time there are a number of the more westerly Katimavik Hazeldean Parks that are in need of a clean-up.   I would like all who can set aside about an hour of their time on Saturday morning April 28 to pitch in to gather at the play structure in Sewell Park for 9:30 am.

There are two  Parks in Katimavik Hazeldean that are equally bad: the Northern edge of Hazeldean Woods roughly in for about 10 to 15 fifteen feet and the stretch of Stonegate Park from the area around the play structure westward toward Young Road to about where the Klein Court and MacIntosh Way backyards begin.

Sewell Park, Gesner Park and McGibbon Park are also in need attention, and graffiti removal in Larsen Park.  If you have any suggestions for the effort and which other park or parks should be added to the cleaned-up list, please send them along to me.  We will then tackle the parks in order of need.

There will be garbage bags, plastic gloves and sanitizers available, as well as refreshments at Sewell park for everyone who helps out.

Thank you
